These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the goChaarana Rentals website and services (the "Platform"). By creating an account, browsing listings, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What we are

goChaarana Rentals is a marketplace that connects "Renters" who want to rent items with "Partners" who list items for rent — vehicles, outdoor and camping gear, cameras, wedding and event decor, furniture, tools and similar equipment. We are not the owner of listed items and are not a party to the rental agreement between a Renter and a Partner; we provide the platform, booking tools, and support that make that agreement possible.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current information when signing up, booking, or applying as a Partner.

3. Listings & bookings

Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, availability, photos and item condition. All listings are reviewed by our team before going live, but review does not guarantee the item's condition or fitness for a particular purpose. A booking request is confirmed only once the Partner accepts it; until then, availability is not guaranteed.

4. Fees & payments

Renters pay the listed daily rate for the rental period plus a flat service fee shown at checkout. Partners receive their rental earnings less a platform commission, disbursed after a booking is marked complete. All fees are disclosed before you confirm a booking or publish a listing.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation terms are shown on each listing at the time of booking. Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance a booking is cancelled relative to the pick-up date. Partners who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may be suspended from the Platform.

6. Renter & partner responsibilities

• Renters agree to use rented items only for their intended purpose, return them on time and in the condition received, and cover any loss or damage caused during the rental period.
• Partners agree to provide items that match their listing description, be reasonably available for pick-up and return coordination, and respond to booking requests in a timely manner.
• Both parties agree to communicate respectfully and resolve disputes in good faith before escalating to our support team.

7. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Platform to list or rent illegal, dangerous, or restricted items; misrepresent your identity or a listing; circumvent Platform fees by arranging payment outside the Platform; or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harassing behaviour toward other users.

8. Limitation of liability

goChaarana Rentals facilitates connections between Renters and Partners but is not responsible for the condition, safety, or legality of items listed by Partners, or for the conduct of any user. To the maximum extent permitted by law, goChaarana Rentals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or a rental transaction.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date; continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
